Stokes Marine is a marine contractor specializing in new dock and seawall construction, boat lifts, and service.
Stokes Marine, like many small businesses, turned to an off-the-shelf CRM to manage their client interactions. They use the most popular small business accounting softward in conjustction with Microsoft Excel and InfoPath. However, their business processes could not be managed using the same application. The sales department operated using 5 different excel spreadsheets and 4 different InfoPath forms in order to generate estimates, work orders, and track overall job progress. These spreadsheets and forms have been developed over the course of 12+ years so introducing change was difficult.
Management needed a single platform that could track every aspect of the sales and construction cycle, and then needed it to be device agnostic and web based so that all company employees could have access at all times.
KBS Technology developed a cloud application that completly automated and intergrated their sales and construction processes. The application included a completely redesign of their website stokesmarine.com. Functions include:
- Job Tracking and Summaries of Efficiency
- Daily FIeld Updates with images and form questions
- Client Estimates and Sales to Construction forms
- Mobile Access to Construction Drawings and Job Related Information
- Employee Profit Sharing Program (complete automation)
- Payroll Allocation Tracking
- Workflow Task Automation and Escalation
With their new system in place, all members can access information about clients, jobs, permits, and invoicing all from their desktop, laptop, or mobile device.
